The tune ‘Island Hopping’ from ‘Cinematic Sea’ by Another Story was played on Johnny Topper’s show “New and Groovy” on Three Triple R on 29 August 2018. https://www.rrr.org.au/explore/programs/new-and-groovy
‘Island Hopping’ is a laid-back instrumental replete with ukelele backing that reflects a Polynesian vibe. The ending suggests a shift towards the Indian Ocean.
Paddy Harrisson who hosts the show Ports of Paradise on PBS 106.7 will be playing the tune ‘Count Me Out’ by Another Story on his 2-hour radio show tomorrow Friday, 2 March 2018 – 9:00am to 11:00am.
Ports of Paradise presents a midcentury melting pot of sophisticated sounds from the golden age of exotica … including jungle jazz, tribal percussion, Latin rhythms, early Calypso, cocktail lounge, stereophonic showpieces, space-age symphonies, and tropical island swing.
Count Me Out is from the CD Cinematic Sea by Another Story. It is a jazzy, quirky tune written in 5/4 time that was a failed entry into a short film music competition. There are not too many popular tunes written in 5/4, e.g., Dave Brubeck’s Take Five, Living in the Past by Jethro Tull and the original Mission Impossible theme by Lalo Schifrin. A download of Count Me Out can be purchased from https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/cinematic-sea/1278842925
There are many interesting and different shifts in the tune – backwards guitar, musique concrete and then at the very end a swinging 1960s London groove a la Austin Powers meets Georgie Fame.

Noosa 101.3FM also has an overnight program (10pm-7am) every night called The Wave hosted by Vicki Riley http://programs.noosafm.org and all the tracks on Cinematic Sea have been added to that rotation as well.
